Internal Auditor Training
This is a two day course that provides participants with the skills and techniques to perform internal audits within their organisation.
Prerequisite: It is preferable if participants have some prior knowledge of quality systems and an understanding of the techniques involved in effectively performing an internal audit. The course requires pre course material to be read prior to attending the course.
Course Overview: The course requires participants to apply the internal auditing skills learnt in workshops throughout the two day course. In order for participants to be deemed as having completed the Unit Standard 8084 Audit Quality Management Systems for Compliance with Quality Standards course competently to achieve NZQA recognition, a workplace audit shall be performed. The workplace audit will be performed under an approved assessor. Upon registration on the course the company shall communicate to the Training Provider who the assessor shall be.

8084 - People credited with this unit standard are able to: prepare to carry out a quality audit; carry out technical aspects of a quality audit; carry out interpersonal aspects of a quality audit; report on a quality audit; and verify corrective actions.
8085 - People credited with this unit standard are able to: explain fundamentals of quality and its management; explain the role of supply chain relationships in quality and its management; explain roles and responsibilities for ensuring quality in an organisation; describe quality management systems; and identify approaches to quality improvement.
8086 - People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: quality auditing, preparation for auditing; quality standards; auditor behaviour; and registration of auditors and accreditation of certifying bodies. This unit standard is primarily for people who have, or wish to have, responsibility for conducting quality audits.
